These tracks are basic demos of my music projects here in Montreal. While simple recordings I think they capture some of the joy and magic and give an idea of the musical ideas I am exploring.
Since he first turned a violin into an electric guitar at the age of 4, Stephen Fuller has been sneaking between the cracks of musical norms to find the beauty hidden there. He has studied kora with Senegalese/Montreal griot Zal Idrissa Sissoko, as well as with legendary Malian griot Toumani Diabate at his home and studio in Bamako, Mali. He spent the last year learning a mix of Celtic traditional music with Maurice "Bear" Leger in Lyndhurst, Ontario. Stephen is in the preliminary stages of producing his first album, and will be launching a crowd funding campaign soon to support the project.
